Men's Bible Study
Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But His word was in mine
heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
Jeremiah 20:9

Practical Christianity
Part 1

James 1-2
We continue this month to look at being a Christian in a practical way from the book of James. This practical 5-chapter book goes into a variety of issues that was plaguing the
church 2000 years ago and affecting us now. This lesson is part two of the practical study and will cover the last half from the book of James. This lesson like the previous one will
be broken into two main sections. The first will be a direct relation to the Bible. Then the second part will cover those areas in a personal manner. The goal is to take what we read
and then apply the lessons we learn in a practical means. After all, when we talk about food, you will not get full from a theoretical meal but will feel satisfied when eating real food.
Let’s treat the Bible the same way and eat spiritually of the good book we call, The Bible.

A) Let’s face it. Dealing with trials and difficulties is tough when it comes into our lives. Why is it important for us to look at terrible times as something joyful and positive? What can
we learn and teach others from this experience?

B) It is important for us to ask God for wisdom without wavering in faith. In what ways can we show God that our faith is strong and we are not wavering when asking for wisdom?

C) Why is it important to make sure we put to action on what we hear? How can this make a difference amongst one another when we put to action good advice?

D) Showing favor comes natural as breathing. However, James mentions that we should be different as Christians in how we treat each other. Why is it important to not show
favoritism? What can we do on an individual and group level to work on not showing favoritism towards certain people?
