| The National Kidney Foundation will be receiving proceeds from the book, Repeat Offender. This is a direct connection to the events and characters within the novel. One of the people, Stacey Hall, has kidney disease which leads to some interesting decisions by the main character Henry. The idea was to support an organization that offers information, education, and treatment to help people with Kidney problems. The Pittsburgh area NKF will be receiving funds, but it’s important to help any that might be close to you. The NKF is a wonderful organization who believes in spreading the word regarding kidney disease and prevention. On their site, there are cornucopia amounts of information regarding how to take care of yourself, prevention, and means to get treatment. They also believe in a variety of ways to help, raise money, and sponsor events. Make sure to check them out and if you live in the area think about having this organization to teach your group more information regarding how to take care of your kidneys. |
